That was awesome.
Friday night provided two close, entertaining games and two rather weak ones. I suppose that’s all you can really ask for at this point.
We knew eight teams would be headed home by the end of the night on Sunday, but we didn’t know that this many would have their hearts ripped out and left on the court.

The game went back and forth throughout. It looked like Xavier was going to pull it off, but Wisconsin pulled off an unlikely upset thanks to Bronson Koenig.
The Irish are headed back to the Sweet 16 and will have a shot to advance to their second straight Elite Eight with a win later this week. It’s all thanks to a guy named Rex Pflueger who got a hand on the ball with a few seconds left.
For the most part Day Three went as expected. The only real surprise of the day was Gonzaga absolutely thrashing Utah.
Ouch. That’s what March-April looks like for 67 out of 68 fan bases.
It’s hard enough to tell your kids about Santa Claus…
It’s even harder to break the news that he’s just three drunk Yale fans who hang out in Providence, Rhode Island.
Well, it certainly wasn’t the craziest Day One we’ve seen in the past few years, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t awesome. 11 seeds were 2-0 and 12 seeds were 2-1… Not bad.
